Butternut Creek flows through the city of Aloha before joining the Tualatin River. One of these tributaries flows through the Cross Creek and Deline Home Owners Associations (HOAs) greenspaces. Over time, this tributary has become degraded and invasive plants have constricted this waterway.
In response to this challenge, residents of the HOAs, Tualtin Soil and Water Conservation District, Clean Water Services and Native Plantscapes NW are working together to remove invasive plants and enhance the tributary as well as selected naturescaping areas upland of the creek.
