Ecological Landscape Designer

Native Plantscapes NW, LLC is looking for an ecological landscape designer. Our company provides restoration services on riparian areas, native prairies, and wetlands in the northern Willamette Valley. We also implement native plant landscaping to private landowners including landscape design and installation.

 

Our company is family owned and has been working in the restoration industry for over 15 years. We are expanding our work in private landscapes working with homeowners who are interested in providing habitat in their landscapes.

We are looking for a designer who is passionate about native plants and naturescaping and has experience with raingardens, habitat creation, sustainable landscape principles, 2D and 3D Vectorworks and can work with a team to deliver projects. This person will need to be self-motivated, organized, have good communication skills and able to work remotely for the foreseeable future.

 

Qualifications:

   • Associates or Bachelors Landscape Design Degree or working towards a degree in this field

   • Knowledge of native plants in the Willamette Valley eco-region

   • Working knowledge of Vectorworks Landmark

 

Responsibilities will include:

   • Design for multiple landscapes in the Portland Metro area

   • Site visits and site surveying

   • Client relationships

   • On site implementation of landscape designs working with our team

   • Collaboration with our other designers in person and via Zoom

 

For full time employees we offer health, dental and vision benefits after 60 days of employment, paid leave is accrued up to 80 hours a year and six paid holidays.

 

We are accepting full time and part time applicants and training is available for the right candidate. Compensation will be dependent upon experience.
